Martha conducts research on mapping water, energy, and carbon land-surface fluxes at field to continental scales using thermal remote sensing, with applications in drought monitoring, agricultural water management, and yield estimation.She and her team have developed the ALEXI/DisALEXI multi-scale ET modeling system. She is currently a member of the Landsat and ECOSTRESS Science Teams. Her participation on the team represents an in-kind contribution to the project with additional support from NASA for field research.
